Title: Macchi cr 205 Veltro Drop tanks

The Macchi CR 205 HAD Drop tanks,
i've the WWII photo of a parked Plane with drop tanks... why not to include them, is it a..discrimination?

Quite possibly it's a recon plane... then again maybe not.

You're Kind & efficient, but I'm not satisfied of the reply, we know some Italian pilots veteran of WWII with Macchi & we'll ask them  abaut drop tanks and speed

So far we have evidence of some armed *reconaissance* C.205 variants with drop tanks. Sometimes they had the 2x12,7mm removed to carry a biger central tank.

AFAIK no combat 205's had them. But we'll investigate, sure we will ...  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Woulnd't mind bad to have drop tanks in it, already hogs gas so fast that you can see it go.
