If you're talking about frame rate to capture video, I'd say 30fps.  My game is V-Sync'd at 60fps, but when I record with Fraps, I have Fraps force it down to 30fps.  Rock solid and still plenty good for fighting, and recording video more than 30fps in my opinion is a waste of processing and hard drive space.

The new version of fraps allows the game to not have to reduce it's frame rate down to your recorded frame rate.  For example, you can still fly AH @ 60fps while recording at 30fps.
At least, that is what it is supposed to do.  If true, I will need a bigger hard drive as I'll be using Fraps more frequently.  :)

But, that's with every possible thing turned down. Eyecandy doesn't mean much to me.
