Hi!
I had my credit card number used without consent, so had the card canced and a new one issued. AH tried to bill the old number. I tried to go to 'Account Admin' and it will not proceed past the 'account deleted' message.
I created a new account just fine, but am unable to use my old handle with it. How do I get my old account back, or associate 'Warspawn' and my history with the new account?
Thanks!

Call HTC during normal business hours and they will fix you right up.

Thanks!
Sent an email three days ago but no response from billing. I'll give 'em a call on Monday I guess!

They are usually very good with email. If you don't hear from them in 24 hours it most likely they either didn't get your email, or the response got lost in your spam filters.
-
Or maybe they are too busy building AH3 with a B29 to get back to you withIN this weekend :bolt:

Betsie needed cleaning. Don't worry, they'll be back with you in no time. :D

Ask for Carrie in the Billing Dept.

Quite right.

Lol...
April billing failed due to my replaced credit card.
All 9 YEARS of account history deleted.
Called Carrie...nothing they can do. I did go to the OClub and grab the handle 'Warspawn' that I've used in WB and here for over a decade..
Oh well, lol. One would think that a month without billing wouldn't be a huge issue, but I understand that they go through alot of subscribers. If it was me though...I'd check account history, maybe send an email...maybe give a long-term member 90 days to re-up before killing an account and making a handle available that's been in use since 1991...
Just a thought.

The system is setup to warn you when you login, if there are account problems. Once an account is locked, a person has 30 days to respond before it is terminated.
You would be surprised how many people do not take care of this.

This happened to me.
Wife's purse was stolen.
Canceled all cc's.
Forgot AH2 fee's were drawn off of one of them.
Tried to log-in one day.
Fail.
Saw email regarding account and said "Oh &^%*" !
Called Carrie, explained situation. Everyone was very accommodating, sympathetic even.
They squared me away faster than the click of a mouse.
No hassle whatsoever.

Yeah, it was easy to fix by a phone call. Not a huge issue, just alot of history deleted. I've been finishing my CFI so I had full-time work and that to deal with for a month, so never even logged in for a few weeks. I do check my email; if there had been a warning that popped up about account deletion I would have fixed it. Maybe there should be one sent out before the account is trashed? Just something to think about for the future...

Did it get booted by your spam filter?
My spam filter is quite annoying at times and dumps some pretty important stuff. :furious
I am constantly finding emails from my kids' teachers, etc in there.
-
No..nothing in spam box. Just some old emails from 2006 when I set up my nephew's account. At that time I marked everything from HTC as non-spam. All emails since then have come to my inbox.

If you use Yahoo, it can take up to two weeks before you get an email from us, and then it will be placed in your SPAM folder. Nothing we can do about it. They deliberately delay email delivery from us, because they think we are a SPAM house.

Wow, really?
One would think that with 1000's of subscribers, a current website and a very active forum that they would get their heads out of their tulips and realize that you are a legit company....
-
They simply refuse to discuss it with us.

They have done that with Charter, Comcast and AOL customers in the past.

Things got a lot better for me after adding HTC email addresses to my address book. I dont know why that would do it but ever since I havent had a problem with slow email.

Not that you do not have enough on your plate, but wouldn't it be worth firing off a short note to the BBB?
I'm sure that there are plenty of AH2 subscribers that use yahoo mail.
Then again, perhaps it's not worth it. They probably wouldn't care anyway.
I'd wager that if enough of THEIR subscribers made a stink, they would consider playing ball, though.
