The biggest problem I foresee with this is that it's impossible to be completely certain what the environment is going to be on a map even a couple HOURS in advance, much less days. Your launch and target bases could very easily have changed hands between when the mission was planned and when it's time to actually roll out.
Hence why a map reset would clear any pre-loaded missions and allow the planning to begin again. For the SEA and AvA, this would be VERY useful for the planners.

Where did I say the map was reset in this example? Bases can change hands without a base reset being involved at all. You could capture the enemy base you were planning a week in advance to attack, or the enemy could capture the base you were intending to take off from.
It's not a bad idea, I just see it being very difficult to implement in a fluid environment like the Mains.
