Title: correct potentiometer?

Built some rudder pedals this weekend using a 10k-ohm linear/taper pot. It seems to work, but i get alot of fluctuation when pedals are centered (using AH calibration). Do i have the right kinda pot?

I replaced one recently but I dont remember for sure. I believe they are 150k.

EDIT: BTW you are much better off going to a place like tubesandmore.com to buy pots than paying twice the price from the joystick manufacturer but only if you can find an identical unit.

Most joystick potentiometers use 100k pots, like CH joysticks.  I don't recommend you get anything less than 75k pots.

This is the manufacturers of the potentiometers used by CH and Thrustmaster sticks that use regular potentiometers.

You used to be able to buy directly from them in bulk but not sure if they still do it.

I am a sim pit builder and I can confirm Ack-Ack is correct
NOTE   make sure you use a linear pot not an audio pot.

Which wattage? I looked but I could not see anything that looks the same. Of course I would love to find a nice match in a carbon pot.  :aok

I would go with a hall sensor

The problem would then be finding a hall sensor that not only fits the mounting point of the CH pots but that also outputs the proper voltage. Good luck with that.
