Title: B26 Throttle resolution set low
Post by: Kermit de frog on May 06, 2010, 01:35:48 AM
B26 Throttle resolution seems to be set low.  If you attempt to adjust the manifold pressure, it jumps 4" with the smallest change in throttle.

My throttle calibration was checked and showed no problems.
Other aircraft did not suffer from this problem.
Another player who flew B26s with me also noted same problem with manifold.

We were trying to reduce our manifold just slightly to allow ourselves to create a nice formation when we both noted this bug.

i think its a feature

the b26 in game used to have wep, i think regular full throttle now reflects that, but now there is a jump at high mp..

No, that's not a feature. It should be smooth.

Kermit, have you checked the axis configuration screen in-game? I mean the advanced tab? Is the green bar moving up and down smoothly while the instrument dial jumps, or is it also moving in jumps and spurts?

Might indicate a controller issue vs a code issue.

Yes I checked exactly as you've stated.
Krusty, does it not error on your end as well?

Sorry for the late reply. Let me go check.

[EDIT] Works fine for me! I can tweak my throttles to whatever single MAP notch I need.

I DID notice, however, a bug where the WEP key still acts like it's working. It doesn't boost your engine any, but it has that 4-5" of MAP kick-off zone. Once off, my MAP resolution is back to normal, though.
