I can not wait to meet the planes of people of the event!
I'd like to tour the various planes, people, food and events they will have with you all.
A few of us have already begun to coordinate a small gathering of Aces High players.
Who here will be attending this event?
-
Wish I could go, PA sure is far from CA though... Make sure to take lots of pictures of that pretty A6M they have, certainly would be the main event for me.
-
I would but I'm in Roseville, near sacramento. So little long of a drive.

Sounds cool. Just a short hop over from Tustin. Wonder if I can get a weekend pass form Mrs Wooley.
-
Anyone been to this before? I'm assuming there will be long lines to park, but just howearly should I plan on being there?
-
Here is the current schedule for both days I assume.
I am currently planning on arriving there at 8:30. I'm still working on coordinating with a couple other AH players. I'd like to see all scheduled activities.

Hmmm, I will see what I can do, my schedule is looking tight this saturday and I'll have to free it all up.
-
This is great show. I was there last year. It's a private airport so its like 20 bucks to get in. There is also a squeakin' museum there too.
I live a couple miles away, I'll try to remember to post a thread friday for people who want to meet up...
-
No can do for Saturday,
Ill be there on Sunday though.
-
Parking is Free, then take free shuttle to airshow.
They recommend you get there before gates open to avoid long lines to park.
I will be there at 8am - 5pm wearing my Aces High hat at the Greatest Generation Veterans Panel at 9:45 - 10:45
* Clarence "Bud" Anderson (P-51 'Old Crow' triple ace in WWII);

Afterwards, we'll just have a good time watching some history above, with walking over to the planes on display as a group during breaks in the airshow.
Bring a portable chair and lots of beer money.... :aok
Weather will be partly cloudy 81 degrees in some fine California sun.
If you'd like to PM your phone #, I'll contact you during event via text messages as to where we all are.
-
I was unable to free things up tomorrow enough in the morning, got my dad's birthday dinner to go to as well. I'll likely won't be able to make it this year, maybe sunday though (I'm not quiting yet).
-
Sooo where's the pictures? I heard there was a dozen Mustangs, two 38s...
-
I'll post the pictures soon.
Here is a video I found of the event.
