Check us out if you're one that loves to fly the rugged & durable B17 Flying Fortress. We're a pretty patient bunch of bomber nerds that are willing to help out the new folks, and have fun with our fellow long-time players. The B17 is our main ride, as it was with the real life 91st Bomb Group based in Bassingbourn, England. We do however cut loose from it, especially after a long, hard run and fly some other fun rides such as Ju88's, B26's, dust off the ol' P40, etc...

If you're 18 and up, roll with us on Bishop vox 191 if you like. Check out what we do. Our bomb runs require some patience, so bear with us. :) We're in it for fun.

Squad Night (5-15)
Interesting conversation ensued when one of our B17 pilots informed me that my tail gunner was waving at him. Some of us told him more likely he was "flipping the bird."
This brought to mind a captioned photo in a book I bought about the real life 91st Bomb Group.(http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51Q561g4kiL._SL500_AA300_.jpg)
In it is Colonel Stanely Wray, Commanding Officer of the 91st Bomb Group: (http://i31.tinypic.com/11v6u0m.jpg)
Col. Stanley Wray gives the "Rigid Digit" salute. Col Wray devised an unofficial award to those members of the 91st who were guilty of some mistake in judgement. Wray adopted this sign and motto, "My God am I Right." Dubbed the order of the "Rigid Digit," it was awarded with a citation to the recipient in the officer's mess. The order became well known in the 8th Bomber Command and many high ranking officers became recipients. Today this award is given to life members of the 91st Memorial Association.
