Just wanted to add three of my favorite planes to the list.
KI-43 was the Japanese Army equivalent to the A6M2. They built in excess of 5,000 and used them until the end of the war.
A6M3 is a clipped wing version with the attributes of the A6M5, but with a faster roll rate. Very nice.
Yak-3 looks like the Yak-9, but with better performance.
Thanks for listening.

Thank you for your addition to "the list."
I would like to add 1 quart of milk, 1 pound of butter, and 1 loaf of bread to "the list."
thank you.

also the Ki-102 2 20mm + 2 57mm (Ki-102a)Ki-102b 2 20m + 1 37mm :rock :devil

+1 on the A6M3... I still can't decide if I'd want to see the Model 32 or Model 22 more. Give us both! :D

never saw action in large numbers.
and the 2 57mm are too much IMO (even tho the 25H has a 75mm :D)

I doubt it...
I'm not going to pretend I'm familiar with the weapon, but with a muzzle velocity of only 1,625 FPS and a short, fat round listed by wikipedia, I wouldn't think it was designed to penetrate armor.

Ki-102 carried a single 57mm cannon, not two of them.
-
Big :aok for the Ki-43 and the A6M3. I would very much like to see the G4M2 as well.

Kewl... we'll call this "The List of Three"
Three planes:
A6M3
Ki-43
Yak-3
-
Lol it is the list of three.

+1 These would be great additions to the game. :aok

Thanks much gentlemen. :aok

There is already a thread concerning the A6M3 and Ki-43, both good ideas to add to the game IMHO.

The 22 was the exact same as the 32 model, the only difference being the in-wing tanks and the ability to carry two drop tanks under each wing. Both models had the supercharger and it was the same airframe.
Edit: 22 was a souped up 32 :aok

The Models 32 and 22 actually had two entirely different airframes, so no, they were not the "exact same."
The Model 32 had clipped wings. This improved the rate of roll, but rate of climb, range, and maneuverability all suffered. The Model 22 reverted the aircraft back to the same airframe as the Model 21, (our A6M2) but retained the engine of the Model 32. This restored the range, maneuverability and climb. However both versions featured the exact same engine.
This is what the different model numbers meant when identifying the Zero: The first digit indicated the airframe, the second was the engine. So in the A6M3, they all used the same engine but the airframe was different between the two models.
Of the two, the Model 32 would offer a more unique aircraft, both in handling and performance, than the two Zeros we already have so would probably be the best choice.

I'll have to check my sources, thanks for pointing this out Sax, I'll research it a little more. Do you have the source of info? Could you post it? Thanks
