See Rule #14

They change things around every few years just to keep themselves busy.

I'm hoping they go with the Multicam Pattern or this new Mirage camo, i think it looks pretty cool.

Well what about the desert camo and woodland camo? I've never heard of an aircraft carrier with so much as a bush on it, oh, wait, nevermind.

About every 5 years or so some big General or Admiral gets a wild hair and causes a TON of money be spent on designing a new frickin uniform. Such a waste, especially if it's not a battle uniform but just garrison wear.

Yeah, that's the main reason to pick a camo pattern alright.

That's the <cough> great thing about the way the government spends money...can't get a bigger budget if you don't create the need for a bigger budget.
The really sad thing is, the people serving have to pay for the extra uniforms out of pocket.

Yup I bought 5 sets of the permanent press class B "tans" when I graduated from ROTC. When I went to my OBC I found out that the wear out date for them was in less than 2 months. :frown:
I had just bought 4 sets of fatigues, the wash and wear permanent press style and they announce the Army is going to BDU's. I wore the fatigues until the actual final wear date. Usually I was the only one in formation with them on but it was my company. It did get me some looks from the BN Cmdr though.:devil
Later I had just purchased 6 sets of BDU's and had all the patches etc sewn on, then there is an announcement that there is going to be a change to the frickin shirt. :furious I still don't know what the heck it was but fortunately I ended up retiring before that wear out date arrived. :bolt:
