UPDATE: Now we have our first look at Chris Hemsworth as Thor.
Production Weekly reports that shooting on Marvel’s Thor is set to start in Los Angeles in mid-January. After that the production will “move to Santa Fe, New Mexico from March till late-April.”
This epic adventure spans the Marvel Universe; from present day Earth to the realm of Asgard. At the center of the story is The Mighty Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior whose reckless actions reignite an ancient war. Thor is cast down to Earth and forced to live among humans as punishment. Once here, Thor learns what it takes to be a true hero when the most dangerous villain of his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth.
Thor is directed by Kenneth Branagh and stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Natalie Portman, Jaimie Alexander, Anthony Hopkins, Colm Feore, Stellan Skarsgård, Robert De Niro, Jude Law and Samuel L. Jackson.
It is due out on 20th May 2011 from Paramount Pictures and Marvel Studios.

I just saw it last night.. caught the midnight showing with the G/F.
To be honest, I never really gave the movie much thought until a few months ago when she realized I never saw the first and dug out her Iron-Man DVD. I watched it and I have to say, I was impressed. After seeing the second one I have to say I'm pretty much hooked on it. It was a good flick... maybe not the most realistic one out there, but sometimes you just have to let go of all that to enjoy the movie.
If nothing else, I didn't walk out of there thinking I wasted my money like I did watching Avatar... but that's a whole different topic all together...

It was pathetic.
Predictable science with monologs and feminine macho crap, i walked out.

Thanks KgB you just saved me $40 and avoided an angry wife. I guess we can go soaring tomorrow and be happy! :D

Its weird how people love Iron Man and hate Avatar, and those that love Avatar don't like Iron Man...
-
i thought both were good.

I'm glad I don't look here for my film reviews :D

Its true, same story with Star Wars:)
Mildly retarted kid that can barely talk constracing robots and wining subsonic race, it was just brutal. But beautifully created entire planet with amazing attention to detail is a waste of money:)

I think both avatar and ironman are garbage.
However, at least ironman has the excuse that it IS based on a comic book while avatar claims originality.
please.. its fern gully in space. lol

Its not as good as the first, but few sequels are. It was still enjoyable. More hahas and less plot overall compared to the first. I'm not a comic book fan and I dislike a lot of comic book movies, so I thought the parts with the Avengers (I had a friend explain it to me afterwards) was a waste of time. There was a lot of unrealistic (scientifically, the special effects were fine) parts, but you agree to overlook them when you step into the theater.

LOL wow. You take yourself way too seriously. You couldn't handle a 3 minute segment that was supposed to be comedy where the hot chick kicks bellybutton and the beefy dude has a hard time taking down one guy. I pity you.
Yes, there's a three minute sequence that could have been taken out of the movie The Fifth Element. If you can't handle that, save your $40.

i didnt mind either movies, iron man 2 was actually pretty good. but in avatar i noticed they used ALOT of the sound effects from the jurrasic park movies (in the animals and such)
