On many a sortie, I have landed my kills, and wanted to do a different kind of job... so I got to thinking... If my Mustang, Loaded up for a dogfight, found some tasty Panzers, Might I be able to land, and CHANGE my loadout on the hotpad? Yes, probably a stupid request, and I'm ready for the flame war.. but Maybe it could take a minute longer on the pad to arm you? I just feel it would add a new feel to the game. And C'mon, can it be worse than the Perked Spixteen threads? :rofl
:salute FlakBait.

I think being able to change loadout would be nice... min 30sec as we have now and 5sec more per extra item you want to add...whether it be extra fuel, drops, bombs, rockets. Not sure how this would be implemented but some form of drop down list pops up when you are stopped on the pad??? I don't know but it would be nice...

+1! :aok

Jonah already brought this up and it was shot down repeatedly... with Wirbles, unfortunately :cry

I cant quite understand WHY it would be shot down, I mean, doesnt seem too shabby :) Someone wake me up! haha ;)
--Vulching might me a... problem... however :noid

Why waste the time hot padding?
You can tower, change the plane setup, and be in the air and climbing before you come to a stop on the rearm pad.
I don't understand the purpose.

What the hotpad really needs is a drive thru so you can get some chips and beer whilst waiting.... :aok :rofl

I'm sure they could add that to a drop down.

Within our squad we do what we call a marathon...one plane for as long as you can (whole night if possible)...if you die you have to wait in the tower till the squad comes home...this (unless you get shot down) calls for hot padding...sure it is only one reason and Myself and squad aren't big hitters in the arenas but there are others who do this as a part of their game play.

Plan ahead for the marathon then. 100% fuel, all the bombs and rockets you can carry first sortie. Dump the ord if you don't need it. Then, every time you hot pad, the ord is there. If you don't need it, dump it again.
Otherwise, if you are going to reconfigure for a different type of mission, it really isn't the same sortie, is it?
sor·tie (sôrt, sôr-t)
n.
1. An armed attack, especially one made from a place surrounded by enemy forces.
2. A flight of a combat aircraft on a mission.
intr.v. sor·tied, sor·tie·ing, sor·ties
To go on a sortie.

It is WidowMaker 101 to roll with bombs. Far better to pickle 'em if you don't need them than need 'em and not have 'em.
Heck, I roll vulched fields with d/t and bombs. Granted I almost always drop 'em on the runway but if the nme killed ord and you have need for bombs down the road you can hotpad.

Wise :) Never thought of that :aok

I don't survive long enough to hotpad anything...unless I just do circles around a friendly base. :lol
