And here I have to go to work in 25 minutes....

Not that my replacement video card is here either.  Still, I might be able to do some tests tonight at reduced graphics settings on my old 7800GT.

This is going to be great for special events and the AvA:

Added the ability to disable specific weapon loadout options from a plane.

Does this mean the Brewster isn't going to be able to turn on a dime?
Made some flight modeling changes affecting the stability of the Brewster.

Tanks and hills peoples...tanks and hills...  :D

Added hills back into the game after fixing some texturing issues with them.

Added the M4A3(75) Sherman tank.

Added the M4A3(76)W Sherman tank.

And all you Mossie lovers...better go check it out.  :airplane:

Updated the 3D shape of the Mosquito VI. Special thanks to Greebo for the excellent skin and cockpit textures.

Switched sound and voice systems to the "Miles Sound System". This is a first step in an ongoing update and expansion of the sound system. We’re still using the same sounds at this stage. Please note that voice recordings in older films will no longer play back correctly in the new film viewer. We’re looking at a way to make those work again.

The game now handles the login process from a Windowed mode to make firewall configuration easier.

Added hills back into the game after fixing some texturing issues with them.

Added the M4A3(75) Sherman tank.

Added the M4A3(76)W Sherman tank.

Performed a major revision to the flight modeling of the Mosquito VI including new engine and exhaust.

The Firefly now requires less damage to destroy after a successful armor penetration.

Engine damage to the PT boat now displays and acts correctly.

Fixed a bug in the TBM that caused excessive speed at a high altitude.

The TBM gunner can now map a custom gunsight to that gun.

Made some flight modeling changes affecting the stability of the Brewster.

Changed the P-39 head position limits to allow more forward movement.

Fixed an issue that caused Squad MOTD (message of the day) to not always appear when it should.

Fixed an bug that caused the “Auto select mode at start of flight” checkbox to check on when something was changed in the Flight Preferences menu.

Drop tank fuel weight updates correctly now. This was also causing an issue with the automatic fuel tank selector not switching between external drop tanks.

Added the ability to disable specific weapon loadout options from a plane.

Fixed a bug that was causing some damage components to display incorrectly on the film viewer.

Fixed some damage graphic glitches on the F2B and B5N.

Fixed a bug in the F4U-1 gunsight that caused some custom gunsights not to display correctly.

Fixed an alpha glitch on a certain group of trees.

Moved one of the offline tank drones away from the hangar that it was sitting on.

Using invalid characters to name your squad now generates an error message.

Added an ammo counter to the bombardier’s bombsight.

Removed the glass alpha on the tanksights of the T-34's.

Fixed a bug on the B-26 and Il-2 that caused the WEP key to cause a change in MP gauge when it shouldn't.

Is the mouse super laggy to anybody else when launching AH and it's in Windowed Mode?

laggy yes, windowed yes.

as for the windowed, it suppose to be like that, came with new update

Why should it be windowed? And yes, the mouse is laggy on my end as well.

So with new updates and patches the firewall can pop up. Before AH was full screen so the firewall could not burn through the game in full screen (no pun intended).

notice that the windowed login screen reports the size of the window as your resolution (confused me why it appeared my resolution was reset to some odd value)

Between the windowed start up with terrible mouse action, and the game crashing once in, I would say this version isn't done.
I know you guys work had at keeping the game updated and fun, but this is a step backwards.... sadly.
Waiting for a patch or some kind of news about the game crashing.....

why did HTC get new sound???

My guess? There are reasons...

I'm thinking this will let them change some things that they've been wanting to do but couldn't due to limitations with the old sound engine? Some things I think going to Miles will allow them to do (not saying this is what they WANT to do) :
-- Separate Vox from Game Sounds (i.e. Vox in headset, game over speakers, if desired)
-- Ability to change the tone/reverb of sounds based upon if engine is attached to aircraft, attached to a different aircraft, inside cockpit or outside, all without recording separate sound files
 -- Possible Doppler Shift effect
-- Possibility to integrate an MP3 player?
-- As a permanent fix for the occasional Vox dropouts (is this even still happening? Last I remember was like 2-3 years ago)
-- Support for sound file types other than mono-WAV files, which likely can help improve aural quality while reducing file size

Just a couple of thoughts as to why to make the change. There's a reason behind it, as I know they wouldn't spend their time making such an important change (which costs money to do), without having an idea as to what they are spending that money on.  :salute
