no on in my squad can use voice communication. try F12 and nothing. try T and nothing. try mapped buttons on joystick and nothing.

I wonder if this may have something to do with it:
Switched sound and voice systems to the Miles Sound System. This is a first step in an ongoing update and expansion of the sound system. We’re still using the same sounds at this stage. Please note that voice recordings in older films will no longer play back correctly in the new film viewer. We’re looking at a way to make those work again.

some have vox with echo, some have no vox at all something is a-miss!

Stutter here when I use vox. (i.e. "check 1,2" = "chec, check, 1,2")

Was just in the TA, guys that normally have great voice have lots of stutter, and echo.
Vox comms pretty much unusable as they are now.
Some saying that preferences not saving for sounds etc. That I have not seen myself.
Otherwise awesome patch.

I think with a little background beat and autotune, we could make some sweet new music with the VOX problems. :rock

Ok... vox is working for me now, but still has echo.

Vox is usuable to me, can hear, but can't disguish what people are saynig.

VOX is disabled now. I could transmit but usually when the text buffer is up and you transmit, the Range box will light up if transmitting on range, but is want. thats why i though i wasnt transmitting.

Right there with you man!!!!
all I see in text is how the mossie will do 500+ now in a dive. thats great for mossie drivers but the game is now unstable and no vox.
I salute HTC to make the game improved...but a patch that makes the game worse is not good for business..came from Warbirds because of this......test..test...test.. .then release the patch....beta testers dont pay to test...they get paid!!

They do pretest. however remember we all have lots of different vc, cpud etc , so u cannot really test for every configuRation. wait till tomorrow where fix it patches are released.

How about a Beta arena....the new patch could be downloaded by many..and tested for bugs before it's mandated to the mainstream to have to download or dont play online?

Not for nothing but you guys need to chill... HTC does a great job of constantly improving the game.. And yeah there are momentary glitches.. They'll sort it out...
What's a day cost? Fifty cents? I think most of us will manage to squeak by.. Why not use your post to report some feedback to them instead of bashing HTC for working to improve the game.. :rolleyes:

How hard is it to create a combat flight sim and make 700-800 or more customers happy?
Give HTC a break. Their human, their gonna make mistakes. give them some time.

How about a Beta arena....the new patch could be downloaded by many..and tested for bugs before it's mandated to the mainstream to have to download or dont play online?
They did that for the Terrain update....and we still got whines. They made the Beta public for a few months or so and had a forum for any bugs, and we still had whines when the update was released. People seemed to refuse to use the Beta (which was all over the forums, main page and in-game) but wasted no time in complaining when something didn't work for them. HTC can't make something perfect for everyone (just as no one can) and it is made all the harder by the fact we have such a wide variety of computers, from very low end to $6K rigs that blow anything away. Bugs happen, they will be in their office tomorrow at 8am EST (think that's the hour) to start fixing all these reported bugs. They tend to find the biggest problems, or most common ones, and put a patch out for that that very day and continue to put out patches fixing bugs likely in order of most "harmful" to least.
Just give them a day to get some sleep. :salute
