Title: Two Issues - Stutters and Graphics Glitch
Post by: katanaso on May 12, 2010, 09:50:58 PM
Minor Issue -- took up a Spit 8 twice and there is a transparent effect around the center of the instrument panel that allows the ground/air textures to show through. It's like 2 pixels wide and changes colors with the color of the terrain.

Bigger Issue -- every time I fired my guns tonight, the sound lagged a tiny bit and I had small graphic stutters.  It happened in a Mossie, twice in a Spit 8, and once in a 38J.

One thing I used to have problems with was the LOD changing on custom skins.  There are so many, from what I understand, that you can't load them all.  If you approach someone that has a skin on that's not loaded up already, you will get a pause.  Mine seemed to always occur right as the icon changed to 400 yards.  I turned off custom skins for all the planes I don't fly and that issue went away.

May or may not be your problem.

Thanks.  I have the skins turned off from troubleshooting something else, so that's not the culprit.

I just got dropped from the host, after about 90 minutes of flying, so I'm posting...
