I have an Asus P5A super socket 7 mobo and 550 amd chip.I replaced my 400 mhz chip with the 550 thinking the mobo would recognize it.I thought nothing of it till one day I did a benchmark test and the chip is still running at 400mhz.Anyone know what I can do to change this to run at 550?I would like to slightly overclock it to maybe 600 or 650 but I have not found any decent info on how to do that.I'm afraid I might be asking to much for this outdated technology lol.Appreciate any advice :D

hmm... did you change the multiplier and bus speed to your new CPUs settings? That chip probably needs a 100MHz bus with 5.5x multiplier. You probably still have the motherboard set to 4x.
Check the jumpers on the board or the bios if it's jumperless.
