If your working on the sound and voice systems at the moment, could I ask you to consider making the various sound outputs device selectable.
i.e. I'd like to run most the sounds through my 8 point suround sound system, but have the vox and only the vox play through my headset.

think its been mentioned several times, that it cant be done. I believe is a windows thing and not the game itself. lower the game sounds, specifically the airplane engine sound within the game and vox will be clear. I have mine set at around 30% and vox is clear, I also dont have the annoying beeps, they're kindda distracting.

I don't understand it all, but it sounds like this new system might be them working towards doing just that. Eventually.

Go into your sound settings in windows, select you sound playback for your surround sound and your sound recording to your headset. At least that's what I do to play it thru my surround sound system.

I believe is a windows thing and not the game itself.
I'm suprised, using WinXP I have no problem seting Windows/AH to play through the suround sound system (SoundMax HD Adudio) and at the same time have Skype play through my headset (HD Audio front headphone).
Would be grate to be able to set each sound element to where I want to hear it.
Engine, Guns, Wind, External noises, etc set to the "SoundMax HD Adudio".
Vox, Check Six, Base under attack, etc, set to the "HD Audio front headphone".
