Title: Whats up with......

my desktop? Where did all the icons go? I started up this morning and nothing showed up. no my computer, not even a trash can. I restarted and checked the most basic settings under properties/effects/desktopicons but couldnt find a problem
Any ideas?

You might try using the repair functions in TweakUI.

Hog sill got the prob ???

You can do this, It restores a good previous bootup

Bootup
Get into pure dos (hold F8 usually, then command prompt only)
Type.... scanreg/restore

This will show all the previously saved boots, Choose a day b4 windose buggered up then follow prompts, It will boot pc with the bootup you chose

I had same thing happen to me twice with windose 98
So far on windose 98se all's ok so far  :)

methinks someone pulled ye o'le

take pic of desktop, set it as wallpaper, increase resolution to max, put all icons on upper left corner, return resolution to previous setting

stunt.
