My mouse has become very choppy when I try to log from the splash screen.
When I finally get on, the mouse still is very choppy.
Tried another mouse with the same results.
Also the mouse works fine when not in AH.
Tried to get a DXDIAG report, but forgot how to do that.
Thanks for any help in this.

from your desktop click start-->Run type in dxdiag and hit ok
then click the Save button and it will collect and save the DXDIAG data to a txt file to somewhere(wherever you desire on your PC/HD )......open the text file & copy and paste the top 2/3rds to an AH BBS message/post
edit: I sugest you check both this forum "Technical Support" & the Bug Report foum, for people having similar issues, though........ has been a few people experiencing the same problem with "Choppy Mouse Behavior"
hope this helps

I believe it's one of the bugs being addressed in the latest (and perhaps the next couple) patches. Generally it's been present in the login window, but I think once in the game things should behave as normal.

Thanks, here's the DXDIAG report

but I think once in the game things should behave as normal.
for some and not for others. My mouse is hyper sensitive in game, very hard to control the mouse and click on things on the clipboard.

True, dat.
Solution:
To play AH2, you must purchase a gaming rig from HTC that adheres to their strict standards for maximum performance. You get free play 24x7 for the rest of your life if you promise to not touch the shiny things inside the case.
-
Wow...I hope that paging file size is with AH running in the background... :huh
Memory: 1024MB RAM
Page File: 558MB used, 3443MB available
And you really should look into buying more RAM for that system...another gig will make things much smoother.
Out of curiosity, what are your in game graphic settings?

No problems here that I can't fix by resizing the splash screen by grabbing sides and dragging until mouse behaves properly. RAM in my case is not a problem, 1 Gig and I get a lot better performance than what I am hearing from some top end rigs. My biggest problem has and will continue to be my connection, and next to that the size of my monitor. Other than that the ole girl hasn't let me down.

I got my mouse to work by accident, I was able to look at my graphic settings( in AH) and everything looked ok.
When I exited graphic settings, my mouse worked aok.
Hope this helps others with the same problem.

I had this same problem. I went in Unchecked the detail and anit-aliasing All eye candy.. then went back in and checked them all. It works fine now.
Just needed to disable all the eye candy then re enable it.
Prior to this deleting the "video8.cfg" file did NOTHING.

Looks like patch 2 has this fixed...
-
Yep, patch 2 did the trick.
-
Not for me, splash screen is okay now but my mouse is still hypersensitive in game. Have tried lowering mouse acceleration speed in both Windows and in my Razor software for my Microsoft Habu and even lowered the Habu's DPI to see if that would help, sadly it didn't.
Going to try the video trick and see if it works for me.
