how are your IRQ assignments? Is your modem sharing one?

Look under control panel/system/device manager/ click on computer at top, that should list the assignments

I take it you have the latest modem driver

Nah eagler.. good stab,... but its the server... i gave it a go last night becaus ei was doing some d/l testing from a bunch of diff sites... i never got to start the d/l... the web page timed out
