Hello all.
The last days I drove a M3 with field supplies to a damaged field and drop the cargo near a burning building.
Two times I got points for it, 5 or 6 times I got none.
Are there any rules for dropping field supply to get points?
See you.

You get points if your supplies do actually have an effect.
But you can't resupply everything. Hangars, for example, can't be resupplied. They will stay down for 15 minutes.
Things that can resupply:
Radar, Ordnance, Barracks (Troops), Radar, Fuel, auto ack guns. (In other words, everything that also has a factory on map)

Thanks Lusche.
Think I drop it near a hangar.
See you.

btw... it's sufficient if you drop them anywhere on field, no need to drop it next to a specific object.

It is sufficient to drop it near the field.
IIRC Skuzzy said as long as you are within one mile of the object you are trying to supply so no need to even pull up to the field.

A couple of things worth mentioning:
**The supplies have to come from a different field. You cannot use the supplies from the same field to repair it.
**You have to come to a complete stop before letting the cargo out in an M3, or a landed C47. I also wait until the supplies 'blow up' before towering. If you fly supplies in, you have to drop them over the field more than 800 feet above the ground level.
**It may take several boxes of supplies to actually make any noticeable difference in repairs, but as long as repairable buildings on a base are damaged, you'll get credited points regardless if it actually repairs them yet or not.
Good luck!

I have never tried it, but can someone confirm that an M3 can let out airfield supplies in 1st gear like they can GV supplies?
(and to add each successful supply drop takes off 15min from the resupply time)

Actually.. it can.. BUT you have to do this:
PUT IT IN FIRST GEAR and wait for the speed to stabilize before releasing because on initial acceleration to red-lined RPMS it will briefly jump just above the maximum speed in first gear for a split second, and if you happen to release the supplies during this period, you will be just above the maximum speed and they will disappear.
To be honest though, I don't see much point in releasing base supplies in this manner, but yes it can be done.

Dont the base supplies also have to be dropped on concrete?

No. That's just one of the persistent game myths.

Yes.. they don't have to be on concrete. Nor does you GV have to be on concrete to get a 'successful landing', unless there is an enemy unit nearby.
To be safe though I do usually drive to the closest concrete, complete stop, drop supplies, wait for POP, then .ef this way I'm guaranteed not to ditch.
