It looks like my PSU died. It was a Tagan BZ900 900w power supply. What is the most dependable, long-lasting PSU out there. This one was only about 14 months old! :mad:

Seasonic probably is the best, at the moment. Stay away from thier lower priced line. They have an upscale line which is very good.
There will be people who will come along and swear by Corsair. Corsair does not make a power supply. They re-package the same supplies as Thermaltake does (and a few other companies as well), which are mostly made by Seasonic as well.
There are only 3 or 4 manufacturers of power supplies left in the world. All are made in China now.

Skuzzy, we all know ( most of us ) that OCZ took over/bought out PC Power & Cooling.....but they are still listing their PSU's as
"PC Power & Cooling" labeled and the warranty has went from 5 yrs to 7 yrs

would you consider these to still be of the same value as they were before PC Power & cooling were bought out?

That is a Seasonic made supply. OCZ shut down PC Power and Cooling and is only using the name. They buy all their supplies from Seasonic.
Matter of fact, that supply you linked is also sold by Corsair and Thermaltake and a few others.
Sadly, PC Power and Cooling is only a name now. They made the best power supplies, of anyone in the market, for a very long time.

That's pretty sad. I've got 3 machines sitting near me with PCP&P supplies in them. Not sure what I'll get when the need arises.

This is becoming more and more common across the world. I manage a battery and lighting retailer and its true for both of these. Auto batteries really consist of Interstate, Exide, and East Penn. Diehard, Duralast, Energizer, Everstart....etc are making their own batteries.

:O Seriously? Is there any difference in the actual quality? Sorry off topic but geez, what's a guy gotta do to get what he thinks he's paying for?
I worked in tires for a couple of years and I was shocked at how few tire manufacturers there are...and for some reason the "private labels" don't show who actually manufactures them. I thought there was supposed to be some law about manufacturer information on products.
