Assuming I had a profile and some references on a P-47D-27, would that fit more on Aces High's D-25 or on the D-40?
I now the zero-length rocket rails were introduced on the D30 and later, suggesting that the skin would fit better on a D-25, but a couple of other things I've read also suggest the tail fillet was fitted starting with D-27s, and that the dive brakes were also introduced on the D-27, which we have on our D-40.
Opinions? Would it be out of place to put a D-27 skin on a D-30/40 plane model?

Yes, just like I thought, on the D40 there are dive flaps.

Never knew that. It also explains why I have a hard time against them with some one who knows how to use them right.

D-25 is closest to a D-27.

Wanted to say thanks for the input, all. I was all set to start my D-25 template up again to modernize it then I realized I better check something.
D'oh! D-25 is full!
Oh well. Thanks regardless, I'll do some other stuff that has better chance of making it in-game.
