Im hoping im not hijacking this topic, and i hope this is in the right forum.
I just flew the 25C's to the rook strats it was a blast we got up to 37k and planes were just bareley falling below us.Just imagine if we had the J model 25 with a much better defensive power, and bombload.

Bombs on J & C are the same I think?
-
Oh i thought that the J carried 4k of ords. :headscratch: either way same payload wouldn't matter to me,just the defensive power.

Um, I'm not trying put anyone down or tell anyone how to play the game. However, with the play style you described, IE climbing to the moon and flying to an enemy city, then I would suggest using the B17 or B24. It has the bigger bomb load and defensive firepower you want. Don't get me wrong I want the B25J but it's not the best choice for what you're doing.

Well,on the map i was flying B17/24's wouldnt have been able to make it that high in that amount of time.

lol?

Really? In other words the 17,or 24's would not have made it to the alt the 25's did.

You do understand that B25s were never used as high alt bombers. Medium alt at best. They made their living down low in the Pacific.
The 17s and 24s did the high alt work.
None of them did 37K bombing.
The B25J was the heaviest of the 25s too. The RAF for one didn't like them as they didn't perform as well as the earlier versions due to the weight.
-
But they do perform well at high alt they have a great climb rate and with a better bomb-load they may even get to do the NOE.
-
:headscratch:
Oh boy....I'm totally lost on this one.

So why not take a B25H on the deck?

As I've always said (i.e. since a few days ago :P): you haven't done NOE if you haven't done it in a B-25H.
