"You have collided."
Plain and simple you ran into him also.
Try and spin it any way you want... but it is up for all of us to see.
Ohh and it says you collided first an not the other way round so....

It's always in that order.
It never says:
HOST: <gamer id> has collided with you
you have collided

It never says:
HOST: <gamer id> has collided with you
you have collided
I'm sure it can happen the other way round.
When they run into you then you fly into their wreckage. Say when they come in way to fast from behind run into you then you hit the wreck.
-
You both need to open up your eyes.

2 major problems here..
1.) You're flying a spit.
2.)You're fighting with someone over the internet.

ALT F4 somebody what's he talking about? :noid
-
WTG unclekurt! :aok
Just another squeaker, fresh out of school I'm guessing. Collisions happen, just re-up.
-
ALT F4 somebody what's he talking about? :noid
That's what caught my eye too :headscratch:
-
ALT F4 somebody what's he talking about? :noid
Giving him the benefit of the doubt and take it meaning that he was gonna do the old "ALT+F4" trick on channel 200 to get some unsuspecting squeaker to hit Alt+F4 and boot himself.
Isn't he the one that also claims to have been a Hellcat ace in WW2 or was that someone else?

It takes 2 to HO, It takes 2 to collide.
Both of you could have done something to avoid it.
No reason to complain.
-
It takes 2 to collide.
Not so in game.

Only takes 1 to fire in a head on. You can collide with the enemy, while the enemy avoids contact with your plane...in essence, only 1 to have a collision.
-
This is totally juvenile and mildly retarded.
Therefore, count me IN. :aok

If one chose to fire on a HO, that means the other one allowed himself to be in guns range of that aircraft.
If there was a collision that means both pilots put there aircraft in the same spot at the same time. Therefore it was a mistake that could have been avoided.
When people say "he rammed me" it was probably just a collision as well. When your ramming someone your going nose first (most of the time), so why not just fire? And if it was indeed a planned ram then the ramming aircraft most likely ran out of ammo and really wants to kill you, aether way if he would have fired the aircraft that is being rammed would have been dead aether way. So no reason to complain.
Not so in game.
I know sometimes when you fly to close to the other aircraft it tells you "system: you have collided with _______" and someone's wing falls off. If that happen why blame the other pilot? It's not like it's his fault.
-
Haw, haw, haw... Yes, all that obtains above - but what is such logic when there's a diaper full of hot shredded runny pork?
Consider this my effort to augment the shredded pork diarrhea with a little high-press squirt de la salsa picante. Aaaaah, enjoy....
-
EWWWW! Diaper with hot shredded runny Pork?
There s mental picture that will take a while to get out of my head !
By the way IN!!

It's a game and has absolutely no meaning to anything, even the game. Either play and shut up or just go away and that's for both of ya's. There is no prize for whining.
 :huh

Yep, and you can file that under some incremental hot ske-wirt.

No Its "xxx has collided with you." and their wing walls of.
If you collide it just says "you have collided." and something of yours falls off.
I r TeH collision thread tard.... :noid

It was a joke....
He's not the Hellcat ace. No names, but think "over", Battle of Midway.
:D
I'm always being called disrespectful because I won't believe someone claiming to be a WW2 vet who won't also tell you his actual name.
Want a ride on my B-17? :rofl

Almost every single collision I'm in is with a Spitfire. The Spit jocks have a real bad habit of turning into you when they are out of moves.
Sometimes I wonder if it's just too much plane for some. These guys fly these things because they turn well, but most don't turn them when they need to. They'd rather save the flicking and flopping for when you're on their 6.

does what it says really make a difference?
the point is that it thinks that you collided

yea it does make a diff.

Fine, there you go:
I know sometimes when you fly to close to the other aircraft it tells you "_______ has collided with you." and someone's wing falls off. If that happen why blame the other pilot? It's not like it's his fault.
lol, really what's the difference? My point is still the same.
-
Since when Spitfire pilots have rights anyway? :headscratch:

You wrote "I know sometimes when you fly to close to the other aircraft it tells you "_______ has collided with you." and someone's wing falls off. If that happen why blame the other pilot? It's not like it's his fault."
The difference is that when you get that message the other guys wing falls off and he has nobody to blame but himself.
It's a huge difference from your point.

Anecdotally, I have to second your view - and in fact, it happened tonight. I was all over this clown in a Spixteen. I was using my G-14 to dance on his head and he couldn't fly his Spixteen well enough, apparently, to realize that , despite his e deficit, he probably could've erased my e advantage with a little judicious climbing. Hell, after my first pass on him, I blacked out on the pull-up long enough that he could've probably either killed me or climbed so far up my poopchute that he could've tasted my breakfast. Instead, he just kept turning, low and slow like a good short-bus candidate. On the next pass I came down with a little less smash and relieved him of an elevator. Mind, I'm doing this in a gondo-laden G-14 and I'm no great stick (which should tell you his quality as a pilot). Anyway, once the left elevator's gone, he's sort of running out of options so on the next pass he turns right up at me, I hit him, and he goes down. Within an instant after that, a wirbel below kills me. Object lesson: when the pilot sucks, watch out for the ho and flakker.

That's not my point. I'm saying that sometimes it tell you that you collided (or someone collided with you) when you just flew close to enemy aircraft and did not actually hit him.

It doesn't. There used to be a bug many years ago that lasted a day or two but that was about 6 years ago and has since been fixed.
If you see "XXX collided with you" is because his front end detected the collision. If you were to watch his film, it would clearly show the collision, however, if you were to watch your film of the event, it will appear as you described but that's only because your front end didn't detect the collision so it's not visible in your film of the event.

If you are going to 'take a stand' to get banned for something like this, at least make sure you photoshop out the "You have Collided" message otherwise you are just going to get laughed at.

I'm a proud man
and I took my stand
and thought I'd done good
to fall as I stood
in defense placed my might
to serve what I thought right
I fell, yes I did
and looked really stupid
Yeeah, way to take a stand. Work on that cognitive reasoning thing... Nice stand! You must be very proud.

I know what you're saying and it's very obvious that even after the million or so threads explaining how the collision model works you still don't understand it.

so your saying the films of the same event would be different?

so your saying the films of the same event would be different?
The film from 2 different front ends will show different outcomes.
Here are pics to demonstrate.
Tangle's external from his front end the moment of impact.

Same basic angle external, tangle's view from my front end moment of impact.
