Title: DSL ISPs?

I'm getting a 256k ADSL run through a cornfield to my Iowa digs.  Problem is the ISP allied with the DSL (USWest/Qwest) is oversubscribed to the point where they won't even think about offering me an always-on connection.  Anybody know a quality outfit?

Thanks, it didn't help the selection process, but I'm writing the review now.
I'll be back next week with a cable modem (sigh).
