I'm an 80s music kind of guy. Especially with that Top Gun music and Iron Eagle. There's many diffrent 80s music. See what I do when I'm dogfighting I actually get in a rhythm and actually fight better listening to music. Mostly something like the Top Gun music nothing to Rock or to Mellow and calm. I'm looking on what your opinion is on some music, that I can find in music stores or just play on youtube while playing aceshigh. The only real songs I listen to while playing aceshigh is the topgun theme song or We Won't take it anymore-Twisted Sister. Just I'm not really liking those songs to much know any good 80s music or just what do you think of people playing music while dogfighting. Rock On :rock :salute

Love listening to music while flying, it's much more rare for me not to... Unfortunately my music drowns out Vox and I think people have one way conversations with me because I can never seem to hear them over my music. On occasion I'll catch a bit of it and tell them to type if they want. This is actually to the extent that I never noticed Vox was broken until I read it on the forums. :o
As far as 80's music goes that I listen to with AH, all I can think of off the top of my head is Metallica, Ozzy, and Megadeth. Might point ya in the right direction.

Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual.
It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums.
- Christy, take off your robe.
Listen to the brilliant ensemble playing of Banks, Collins and Rutherford. You can practically hear every nuance of every instrument.
- Sabrina, remove your dress.
In terms of lyrical craftsmanship, the sheer songwriting, this album hits a new peak of professionalism.
- Sabrina, why don't you, uh, dance a little.
Take the lyrics to Land of Confusion. In this song, Phil Collins addresses the problems of abusive political authority. In Too Deep is the most moving pop song of the 1980s, about monogamy and commitment. The song is extremely uplifting. Their lyrics are as positive and affirmative as anything I've heard in rock.
- Christy, get down on your knees so Sabrina can see (edited)
Phil Collins' solo career seems to be more commercial and therefore more satisfying, in a narrower way. Especially songs like In the Air Tonight and Against All Odds.
- Sabrina, don't just stare at it, (edited)
But I also think Phil Collins works best within the confines of the group, than as a solo artist, and I stress the word artist. This is Sussudio, a great, great song, a personal favorite.
-
My possibly favorite Don't Stop Beliven-Journey. This one I self teached myself to play on Violin,Guitar and Piano.

Debussy,Clair De Lune (Piano)->www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlvUepMa31o (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LlvUepMa31o)
Just because it incorporates classical instruments does not make it a classical piece...

Just because it incorporates classical instruments does not make it a classical piece...
So?
-
So it is not a classical piece, and one would be wrong to call it a classical piece.
A dog is not a cat. So we do not call it a cat.

OK,thanks for fixing that. Did you like the song though.

No reason to feel superior if a hlbly can recommend a good stirring classical piece from Dvorak <yes I can pronounce it to> . The 4th movement is where the power is imho . Even if it ain't 80's .
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yctfXIqugXc (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yctfXIqugXc)
I know he didn't want anything to rock . Yet I would do a disservice if I didn't let him try the War Machine that should have been on Iron Man 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYN5ezObW6I (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYN5ezObW6I)
This one makes the cut for rock too . Two reasons , it was Judas Priest only song to make it on the pop top 20 . Going to #5 . Last anything that has a poem on the album cover that can stir a hlblys blood makes it .
From unknown lands through distant skies ,
Came a winged warrior
Nothing remained sacred
No one was safe
As the hellion uttered his battle cry
Screaming for vengeance

80's music is a minefield which must be traversed with care and skill . Only by those who survived it . Otherwise you get a train wreck . :bolt:

Perhaps you should self teach yourself some proper grammar, then we can move on to more complicated musical pieces :uhoh
You forget to put a period at the end of your sentence. I think that comes under proper punctuation. Does it really matter if a word is spelled wrong or punctuation is not perfect. :)

We blew a gasket on the Grapevine

Chasing love out on Thunder Island.....
