maybe you need to be smaller :bolt:

Wish I knew what sort of chair I had, all I know is it was made by some company named Steelcase. We found it in an office that was getting torn down so it was a pretty sweet deal. Chair uses a solid metal frame instead of plastic like all these new ones and it feels like it could hold 500lbs+. Not entirely sure though... I only weigh 140lbs so I don't really get a lot of chance to stress test it but maybe the company name will point you in the right direction if their new inventory is anything like this chair.
-
Steelcase makes some good chairs.
Its hard to find a chair that is worth a damn anymore. I am considering a new office chair as well since I work from home and the one I currently have is at least 7 years old and needs to be tossed. It sucks!!!!
So I am looking at one of these new ones that has the mesh type back and seat. Being 6'4" 260 doesn't help matters any either.
-
the chair im useing now is a crapy $70 spent a hour playing in it omg my back is just killing need some thing thats made for big and tail people dang you short people!
-
Menards is were I got mine. About 200 bucks, leather, adjustable height, tall back. Legs and rollers are plastic but they're strong. I'm 250 and 6' and had mine for a couple of years now.
-
You could get one like mine :devil

Cleaning out under your bed b4 taking the picture might have been a good idea, ewwwww
I have basically the same chair at work and at home. Went to Office Depot and bought the leather chairs with the built in back massage for @ $150.00. Plug in, crank it up, back feels better. I'm a bit smaller that you guys though @ 6' 220 lbs.
You might want to look into commercial chair resale places. They cost a bit more, but are built much better.
Steelcase +1

Under the bed is bad enough but...a coke can and a slushee cup on top of the tower? Not to mention the dirty carpet and the garbage pile!!!
Clean your room!!! :O
-
Sam's club few months ago had a nice big chair, bout 200.00. Don't if it would hold up. Everything being made in china anymore, it is hard to find quality anymore.
-
Try checking a dedicated office furniture supply store and see what they have. Then shop around on the net or local stores for the same thing on sale. A bad chair really aggravates a bad back.

Hey space is limited in this room. And i was drinking that coke in the Sonic cup.
Very little in that pic is actually garbage. I use almost everything in it lol
The carpet is at least 20 years old maybe more and that wasn't always a bedroom. Its seen its better days.
As for under my bed there's a black blanket and a white blanket on the right, a mandolin in the middle, and then all my usb cords, gaming magazine, phone charger, Kodak box with more cords and some instruction manuals in it, a book about weather, another box with some xbox stuff in it, and Windows 7.
Sure it needs cleaned but then i wouldn't be able to find any of it :rofl
-
Look for a "fully adjustable" office chair.
They allow you to tweak most everything on the chair so it will fit ya' better.
(I am 6'4" so I am familiar w/ office chairs not fitting)
They are more expensive but you can find of few of them in the $200.00 - 500.00 range.
OfficeDepot has a decent selection to check out.

They start getting really "good" in the $500-1,000.00 range.

LMAO...ok then. Sounds like what my step kids have been telling me since 10 this morning when they started cleaning their rooms...it's 3 p.m. now and they're still working on it after 2 bags of garbage and nearly breaking my vacuum cleaner.

I bought one similar to this off Amazon for under $200. It's a knockoff of more expensive models but it works great. Solid metal frame, mesh fabric seat and back that are extremely comfortable. Best computer chair I've ever had.

You want this.

Go to a wreckers and get yourself a good Holden driver/passenger seat....You would then need something to fix it to, to get to the height you require. talk to an engineer I'm sure they could make up a simple frame for it...and if you want it to roll chuck on some casters.....
Or just get a lazy boy.

For those of us whose wives have forced us to play on one legged stools, I advise you to be careful, especially after too many margaritas.. Not only will you lose your balance, but you must be careful that you don't sit on it while it's turn upside down!

Unfortunately, HOLDEN is all but non-existent here in the US... and the few rare specimens would never end up in a scrap yard... shipping from over there would be quite cost-prohibitive... and engineers don't come cheap! Great idea, though!
