Of course unfortunately it will be shown in some way that the :devil Japanese did it on purpose. The  animal rights terro...activists would never do anything to endanger people over the "rights" of animals. :noid

Pretty sure I'll have better things to be doing, like FSO.

So do I, but those idiots are not saving anything. All they are doing is endangering human lives. That is why I root for the Japanese.

I find the show highly entertaining and I will watch it.

I'm glad they have the balls to stand up for what they believe in. We need more people like them in the world. Maybe then we wouldn't have a huge oil spill off our coast. :aok

More people who are environmentally conscious? Yes.
More people who are painfully incompetent and reckless? No thanks.

They do the wrong thing for the right reasons.

Didn't the Japs already sink one of their boats?
here's rooting for another sinking, and the spilling of oil and fuel that comes with it!!!

More people that keep other people from killing whales? Or atleast attempt to? What does that have to do with oil? It's about whales man. Now, you could star in your own show called "Oil Wars" and you could get a boat, and go after people drilling for oil! Throw stinky bombs and shoot water at them! And then call yourself a legitimate seaman and call the hour of nothing entertainment! :aok

I don't see how throwing rancid butter or ramming the oil rigs would have prevented this disaster...

Holy ramming speed Batman! :O

Ok, so I was really bored late last night and I finally turned my On Demand over to a couple episodes of this show. Some points of critical analysis (between uncontrollable bouts of laughter):
Never have I seen a more slackhanded crew, or a boat that deserved to sink more.
They have a first mate that doesn't know anything nautical except mindlessly simple adages that are commonly known in Iowa.
Their main "weapon" in their "war" against "The Japanese Fleet" is hand thrown jars of smelliness and slippery stuff??? They have a helicopter with a range of hundreds of miles, yet they drop nothing from it. They have a huge boat, yet they don't rig surgical tubing into a slingshot (proving Boy Scouts to be smarter). It might be that they're flirting with the line of weaponizing a ship and don't actually want to be liable for what they're doing.
They almost hit a boat, but then they can't launch another boat in time to catch the first boat. Once it's because their little mall ninja strike boat goes off in the wrong direction. Another time they almost have a major incident when someone falls down.
In danger of being trapped in ice flows and having their boat crushed, the greatest fear of some of the crew is that they'll have to go home and won't be able to play pirate any more.
It turns out they actually did board a Japanese vessel once, which I'm pretty sure is an act of piracy, but I don't really care enough to look it up.
Whenever they have any incident going on, everyone clusters around to see what's happening. Two people are doing something and the rest are feeling important. Then, when they have to do something like back up, they have to make a point of sending someone out to look behind them because they don't seem to actually have a "watch" posted.
The "Captain" seems to be one of the most dim-witted individuals to ever "command" a vessel at sea. He puts his crew in extremely unnecessary risk for little potential gain. He allows his ship to run like a dreadlocked pleasure cruise and expects to get things done. Most of the problems they get into stem from a lack of sense on the part of the crew and a lack of oversight from the fat man.
With that in mind, none of their critical equipment seems to be functional when they pull away from the dock, but their monogrammed "Sea Shepherd" gear all looks super fab!
They hear that there's been a critical emergency at sea and they debate whether to assist or exploit the opportunity? I don't think I need to make any further comment on this one.
So far, this show has been completely ridiculous, and it's blatantly obvious that a lot of editing was done to make the "mission" seem more important and the crew seem more credible. The problem is, it's so ridiculous that I was laughing my tongue out the whole time. I might actually have to watch more, just to cheer on the icebergs and hope that someone forgets to screw one of those bottle-munitions' caps on tight enough.
C'mon, where else do you find yourself cheering icebergs? I've cheered .50 cals before, but it's so original I just can't resist.
It's not pulling me away from FSO though...I'm bouncing tonight! :noid
