Title: Better marked GV spawn plus
Post by: viking73 on June 07, 2010, 02:04:40 AM
The spawn for the GV's need to be better marked or a more concrete rule setup for landing successfully. It should be no different than if you land on a runway. Shouldn't matter if there is an nme gv somewhere. The obvious reason for all of this is because even with a successful landing upon return to the spawn area, there's no way to know if you will get it or not. All we have is the yellow arrow. On top of that if there is a gv or plane (mainly gv) that is not within visible range but close enough according to the server, you get a capture and the gv gets a kill even though he is no where around. It leaves the only sure way of getting a successful landing to be driving all the way back to your home base which is of course ridiculous.

If I remember, it's something like so long as your 5k away from anything enemy it's successful regardless of where you are. I don't GV much though, and it's even less that I have patience to even attempt to land.

the spawn point has no influence on landing whatsoever.

If you drive away from spawn & enemy base for some time to get at least 5k seperation, you often can be almost sure... unless the enemy has spotted you and is circling in planes overhead.
For a guaranteed safe landing during combat - well, it's enemy territory after all...

More important than where to land is flags on all GV's!
