Title: Audio Switchbox
Post by: Swager on August 22, 2001, 01:47:00 PM
Has anyone seen a switchbox that can switch back and forth to/from a set of speakers and headphones. This wayI  dont have to go tho the back of my computer and disconnect one and connect the other.

Could a "T" connection be used in this case??

Thanks :)

How about this? http://www.electronicsusa.com/mk5.html (http://www.electronicsusa.com/mk5.html)

I don't have one but I don't see why it wouldn't work fine.  At $22 it's kinda pricey though.  You might make your own switch for cheap using a few bucks of Radio Shack stuff.

Parts for that switch costs maybe 5$ thought you might need buy or loan a soldering-iron (how to use one (http://www.irational.org/sic/radio/solder.html)).

Or you could buy a splitter cable for less and just switch off the speakers when you dont want to use em.
