I'd like to make a request to allow medium bombers the ability to turn their formations tighter than their fattier 4 engine cousins. Correct me if I'm wrong but all of our current medium bombers are pretty maneuverable and should have no problem keeping up with a tight turn performed by a group leader. This in my opinion would make flying planes like the B25 Strafer alot more fun. I'm not saying they should turn on a dime but taking 3-4 miles to complete a turn is a bit much for some of these birds.

Uh no...sorry Beefcake I have to give this one a -1. There is enough gamey behavior as it is.
You know I'm not a bomber dweeb but I flew B-26s last night and I was able to make a tighter turn without losing my drones than I could with any heavy bomber. I could have turned a little tighter but I didn't want to push it. Letting the 3 plane formation turn any faster than they do now would just be gamey, especially with strafer/attack versions which IMO should not allow formations anyway.

Already possible to do an immelman in a b25 head right back in to target and not lose your drones.
I'd say its already quite good enough, you just need to do some of that good pilot stuff.

I wouldn't mind any of the formations turning tighter -- PROVIDED -- the physical capabilities of the drones were addressed to prevent any overspeeding to catch up to the lead. As it is now, you can firewall your lead bomber, make any kind of turns/twists that you want, and if you get to a point where your drones are left behind, they will simply start moving faster than they should be capable of and catch up. To observers I believe this is where a lot of the drone-warping occurs.
If instead you actually had to slow down the lead bomber for the formation to catch up, then I wouldn't see a problem with the drones turning a little better. Maybe make them match any control input by the lead pilot, but with a quarter second delay.
But to prevent some really radical manoevering (which would be contrary to formation flying, right?), why not also make it so the drones and the lead can actually collide with one another? So if you want to try to dogfight with that B-26, knock yourself out, but be aware of where your wingmen are lest you suffer a mid-air friendly collision.

i agree. when i fly ju-88's and try to get a tight turn pattern, i have to break it off to Waite for the drones to catch up. by then now you have a con on your six and hes shooting you down before your drones catch back up. also yes its takes a few miles to make a full turn with out loosing your drones when I'm Noe on a vh base. my B-17s pretty much stay to gether on a tight turn using rudders and throttle control. but yes could use some help from hitec on the drones stay closer to the med bombers.

It is a complete "E - Loser" but all you need to do is opposite rudder of the turn direction and your drones will stay with you in a pretty darn tight turn. I do it all the time.
Only issue becomes getting the calibration back in a short amount of time.

I have no problem turning tight in formation. Just remember to throttle back and kick some rudder and no problem. The JU-88 actually does pretty good in aturn like this.
