I had a CD with an old version AH1 on it, and yesterday put it in my laptop just for the heck of it. Talk about old memories! The old style explosions when the enemy plane explodes were way cool!
Anyway, my question: does anybody remember if it were possible to hook two computers - both with AH1 installed - and then set up a LAN connection so you could use it as a dueling machine? I'd like to do this so my sons and I can dogfight each other. If so, please include any steps to setting it up you can remember.
Thanks!

Will depend on exactly which version you have.
If under the H2H option you have the option for a lan connect then yes.
Host side would go into H2H, choose a terrain, and setup any options in arena setup.
Other side would go into H2H, click "join" and hopefully it will see the host.

I have version 1.11 patch 4. It has a box to check for LAN. But on the other computer, I can't get it to come up with a "join" option. I have them hooked together with an ethernet cable - I'm not sure if they're seeing each other or not.

Are you using a cross over cable? Do you have there IP's Set?

It would be nice if the old LAN connection was still available. I enjoyed teaching my son with it.
