Post by: angels10 on June 14, 2010, 12:16:50 PM

You shouldn't be running your computer with Norton or McAffee installed. The junk the ISP's dole out is sub standard freebie versions anyway. Remove it all, and use a good registry cleaner to get rid of any remnants, then if you absolutely must have an anti-virus on your system, get Eset Nod32 or Avast...and when you play AH, turn all anti-virus/anti-spyware off.

The only way to get them off your comp is a complete install of OS. I'm sure Macafee has left things behind that Norton just don't like. I'v been running Esest nod32 for 3 years without a hitch. I also shut it down when I game but no need to.

Kaspersky is also a good option, takes up very little space and does not interfere very much if at all with Aces High.

Please, please do not run Norton or McAfee.  If you care at all for the performance of your computer, do not run either of those products.  They will make a mess of your computer and the only way to truly remove them is to re-install the operation system.

Just say 'NO' to bad A/V software, Uhmmm-k.

<---- Has Norton (God Forbid, I hope to get it off when the sunscription ends in a couple of months  :pray)
Surprisingly doesn't affect the game as much as people have said. However the firewall it carries with it can block packets. I did a Pingtester just now one with and one without the firewall, HUGE difference. WITH firewall, packets wouldn't even be allowed to be sent.
