From the CH website:
"Pro Throttle USB first showing: London, ECTS trade show September 3rd-5th by appointment only. CH Products booth G570."
Two weeks? (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

I'm trying to justify, if any, advantages over my current CH sticks....any thoughts that may persuade me?
-
RipSnort.....I've been using CH products for years.....tried the others, they didn't hold up as well, and for some reason their drivers etc were sometimes a squeak to get going in some sims such as the MS sidewinder in AW. I like the f-16 combat stick.....coupled with the CH pro throttle, which makes the cH Combat stick programable. along with my CH rudder pedals. I do not use the keyboard for anything in AH.......everything comes off the ch F-16 combat stick and the pro throttle....throttle best investment I've made

I love my F6 fighterstick, pro peds and pro throttle. I think the USB gear will allow you more axis to program, like the pedals can have the rudder action AND toe brakes for ground handling. And simplified (hopefully) calibration and installation. My CH gear cost me just about $200 a couple years ago. I won't be buying anything new unless my house burns down taking the old gear with it (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

I think you guys mis-understood my question, I have all CH gear, I was wondering if the advantages of USB would justify upgrading...

If you think that is worth the expenditure, then I say yes.

My interest in USB is for stability. I use the CH Auto Gamecard now (with Pro Throttle, F-16 Combatstick, and Pro Pedals), and it is pretty stable -- but I'm guessing that USB will be VERY stable.

My set-up is identical to yours Popeye, and I've never had any stability problems with it except the occasional 'default' stick setting auto-loading into the stick.
-
USB Flight gear = 4 things (in general)
1: stability
2: more performance
3: smaller resource usage (is POSSIBLE to reclaim lost frame rates)
4: less controler "noise" which means less spiking
-
They're saying Q4 release, with some new controls and three distict program sets that can be switched on the fly.

Did you see the photos on the website? It will have hardware sticksets, analog trim and view control.
