Looks good Betty!

I'd almost want to put blame the crappy owner not the breed, but then that would mess up the rhyme and meter...

that was my thought too madda!

my choice was:

if you cant run with the big dogs, stay on the porch
if its not pit its not watermelon *with an S not a C*
or
blame the deed not the breed

My favorite is American Pit Bull second to none. I have that with a tat of one of my late dogs on my back.
OR My dog can make it to the fence in 3 seconds HOW ABOUT YOU. This goes well with a pic of the Pit growling.
I currently have two and have owed 6 over the years never have had one bite anyone and were always great with kids. Now with other animals is a different story. Very nice looking PIT.
The only thing I don't like about them is that they don't live long enough.

Betty, dont worry the average age these types reach is around 10 to 12 years and thats pretty old for a dog.

Most purebred Staffs suffer from tumours that can shorten their life span but your have Mastif in them so that changes everything. Most mastifs live the same length of time but dont suffer from the tumour problems that staffies get,if your lucky you'll get the best of both breeds and have a couple of 10 year old dogs laying around the house!!

I pick blame the deed.... but really it should say blame to owner!

our dog is part pit, mostly mutt, dingo looking - ghetto drug lineage...nephew found her near his firehouse in Chicago - in a box with 2 dead pups
16 years old right now - be 17 end of October

she is almost blind, crabby as a bag of cats, sore hips - but is still the gentlest dog with kids
my 2 are constantly laying down next to her - petting and pulling on her ears and play fighting with her
if you expose your dog to lots of kids and people from an early age, and they are comfortable with people
then you will have no problems, it is the dogs that are kept isolated that go nutzo, they are just protecting themselves by being naturally aggressive.
my 2 cents

are u kidding me...stuka even HEARS the sound of my keychain and he is at the door, according to him i am NOT allowed to leave the house without him! he hates it when i go to work but i take him for a ride after i get home even if it is just a quick drive around the block, he is still happy that he got to go "bye bye". he is VERY social and that is something that i have done with him since he was 5 weeks old when i got him, have him around loads of people. i got tank when he was 6 months old and he has picked up on alot of stuff from stuka and loves to lick! drives me nuts!!
