The little L shape line in grid 4.2 for instance.

Just guessing but they are the right length to be the convoy supply road maybe.
I'm not a map builder but there may be an option that makes them show up?
-
Would help if we knew what map it was.

To add...
those lines are only on the clipboard map and not on the terrain itself.

Possibly artifacts from the old strat and/or base capture systems? Or it's just the map maker making it look more like an "official" pilot's map?

My guess would be railroad tracks and roads (with convoys). These clipboard maps are created by the map makers during the construction of the terrain file. I assume he wanted people to know where certain things were.
My only other guess would be some sort of system indicating GV spawn points (but normally it doesn't look like that).

There is nothing on the terrain at these points. It's merely a map artifact.

Very strange... Maybe the map maker wanted to, but didn't have time, or the TE wasn't letting him add them, but in the end he kept the clipboard map, forgetting it had them in place?
:headscratch:

Railroad paths?

Railroad paths?
They are the supply convoy paths. The dotted lines are indeed the remnants of the old railroad lines supplying the old factories. (That's why I could not spot anything there from air, the railroads/ trains are no longer there of course.)
