Mine is the P-47M. Whenever I up this beast, there is some sort of comic mishap (combined with the usual operator error).
Does anyone else have a bad luck ride?
-
P40E. It never fails that I seem to find the uber sticks with it everytime. Tonight it was SunsFan/LosSuns in a damned G14! :furious
-
The one I just upped....
-
LOL!! :rofl Just about any fighter. :D
-
KI-84, can't fly it or fight it. :furious
-
P-47M and the FW190D-9. Both of which, always seem to attract the biggest tater dweebs in the game. :joystick:
-
P38G - love flying it, very rarely get kills and survive lol........fun bird to fly tho.
Wurzel
-
38s. It reminds me what compression is everytime
-
all planes :aok
-
P38G. It's why I love it so :)
-
190d hate the mother i always die.
-
Do you have time for a break down?
-
P-47M also, lately. Nothing seems to go right.
Overall though, A6M2. I just can't manage to do near what I can in it versus the A6M5B.
wrongway
-
P-47M
Always seem to get destroyed by the slightest ping when I'm in it.
And to be fighting against, probably the C.205.
It's like a mental block. I can't for the life of me kill a C.205.
-
38G and P-39D never fail to get me into trouble. :)
-
uhh 262 I end up getting hit from 800 out and catching on fire a lot more than normal.
-
K4. I can't fly that thing at all. :headscratch:

yup, nothing like having a single bullet take off your entire tail section.
-
so far only the AH planes...I'm cool with all the Fa planes...lol...I think my bellybutton was just kicked...

no
-
F4U-1A for me, among those I fly frequently.
I can do better with the others f4us. :O
When I jump in its, It is very probably to go down.
:salute
-
I hate coming across Brewsters in game because they are always higher and I can never get away.
The plane I cant seem to do well in is the yak.....If I could kill the spits on the first shot maybe I could do good.
-
No planes with bad luck.
Just a few plane I simply can't get the hang of: Mainly the P-38 (I would love to be good in that bird, but it's rejecting me :cry), Yak, and to a lesser extend the 47's F4U's, P-40, P-39
-
Anything American :bolt:
-
The spitfire MK XIV
Just never can fly that bird well. If I fly it well I end up not hitting anything, If i hit something I end up augering on the way home. It's just not my plane.
-
Any time I fly one of the F4Us that only have the single fuel tank I always end up wishing I was back in my 1A....
Fuel and engine are always the first things to go in the Hog.
-
Anything that has less than 4 engines :x :airplane:
-
I just seem to have a bunch of "bad luck" pilots I run into. It's my bad luck every time I run into them :airplane: :joystick:   :airplane: :joystick::O :furious :furious :furious :furious :noid
-
spit XVI, just cant fly the dam thing. I stall, I spin, I flop around.
I do better in any of the other spits, makes no sense to me at all as everyone else finds it the most effective version.
:headscratch:
-
anything german
-
C.202 in the LW's. I love that bird, but I always up it at the wrong time. Like when there is 10 red iconed fighters with nothing better to do than engage the only 40 ENY bird in sight.
-
Geez, this is a question that requires a pie chart and several graphs for sure.
My bad luck bird is probably the Spixteen oddly enough. I can kill and live way better in pretty well any Spit than I do in the XVI in a furball. Even the Spit I. I don't know why, I just seem to wind up in constant accelerated stalls in the thing and get dead.
My bad luck enemy bird is hands down the A6Ms. They should be virtually no threat when you fly the big, heavy fast stuff like P47s, F4Us, C205, and so forth. As long as I don't blow my E in their vicinity I should be safe from them, right? However it seems almost without fail that I will get into a situation where I have to get a little slower than I'd like for whatever reason. Then there seems to be a Zeke specific feature in the game that puts a big orange flashing circle around my plane saying 'WILEY BLEW HIS E, COME IN AND KILL HIM NOW IN HIS LOW SLOW P47!'
I then get out-accelerated and die.
Wiley.
-
C202/205 (need to log a few more hours in these), F4U's (dunno why), Spits (too twitchy).

phew! I was beginning to think I was the only one. still cant work out why though :headscratch:

109s, any of them.

I've hit 47's with taters and they fly off just fine. But I have no troubles with those goliaths...
I can not for the life of me fly the F4U. Completely incompatible with 109 habits I guess...
As for planes I have bad luck against...spit 16s. Always the spit 16. She climbs with me, she dives wih me, she turns with me, and Most pilots seem to have the bending bullet down, judgeing by all the oil leaks I get from spits on my dead 6...
Anybody know how to shake these bastiges?
-
those dang brewbrews... Whenever i fly my zero i ALWAYS run into one that is above me or on my six... :furious

you can out accelerate them in a K-4 :p
-
If we are in a Co-e situation, and he is 400 off my tail, how do you propose I slow down rapidly with out taking a poorly aimed hail of 20mm's to mmy airframe?
-
I wouldn't be able to say what my bad luck plane is but I know that the worst thing I can do is up with ord for what was a capped field or to kill tanks with no aircover because without fail I will be bounced half way there every single time :cry
-
Of all the planes in the game. I do the least well in a Tempest of all things
-
F4U-1D for some wierd reason, its supposed to be a GREAT plane, but not in may hands.
Do you fly it the same way as the F4F?
-
All of them :D

very true
-
190's I hate to fly them and I hate to fight them wing twitching turds.
-
For me its the F4U's any of them . I love the plane but just cant fly it well .

Hartmann maneuver might work if hes never seen it, then you could just pop up and let him ram into the back of you :devil
edit: I was thinking of the jug as lead plane because the same happened to me last night, only thought of it after I was down :(
-
all the f4u's rear vis blows
-
Adjust head position. It helps greatly. Still not the best by any means. F4U is one of the best planes in the game IMHO.
-
Uhm...do an aleiron roll when you want to see whats causing all those holes to appear in your wing...
Not sure who asked for your input on F4U's rear vis...
-
I've noticed that when things go bad for me, it's when I'm in an F4U. Practically every single time. There isn't any other plane in AH that I get into trouble with nearly as often.
-
phew, i thought i was the only one that sucks in the F4U
-
You have to learn the F4U pretty well. Once you learn it, it is very deadly.
-
is it a better turner or at high speeds?
-
It is best at about 200-300 mph and at these speeds with flaps extended, it is deadly. It is a great BnZ plane but can also turn with a spit for a while if it must. (until your speed drops too low)
-
makes since, thanks
-
Practice with the older F4Us and then try the F4U-4, F4U-4 is a great plane, one of my favorites.
-
all spitfires, most of the 109's (all but the F-4, and G-2), 190F8 (I always bump into an La-7, P-51, or something that totally owns me), P-39, Ta-152, Zeek, Ki-61, P-38's, etc.
About the only planes I have any success in is:
P-51B/D
P-40E
P-47M/D11
190A5
109F-4
109G-2
Yak-9U
FM-2
And occationally the 110 (fought 2 F4U's and a spit VIII to a draw, which is the high water mark of my carrear)
-
It takes a real man to fly the P-47 D-11 :aok :lol
-
I was an happy 3 kills f4u1a pilot (my bad luck plane) ... in fact i crashed on landing. :rofl
Cv started to turn just i was landing :uhoh
-
Yes, the one I am in :lol
-
Have to say all 4U's bar the F4U1...even this is a troublesome plane for me.....I just have no idea how to do the things people do against me....when I try I die plain and simple
-
Nemisis, it takes some time to get used to that P39D, but whern you learn to fly it, it can be an AMAZING killer.
I landed 3 kills in it twice yesterday and they were from legit dogfight kills. You should definently take some sorties in it. (Perks ain't bad either 20 perks once)
-
I know, the problem is catching others. While I'm a very patient GV'er, I'm less patient in the air (I guess because SA is easier in the air. GV's can hide behind burms, hedges, etc. You have to look for shell craters, as they mark kill zones, and you're always trying to out smart an enemy who might not be there. Every time I come to a burm, I go OVER it, since most go around.), which means I'm less successful than I might be. However, I'm getting a pair of flight pedals, and once I get those, there is a squadie who's gona teach me to fly the Spit VIII.
-
I'd love to fly the Hog well, but I seem to be meat on the table. Sure, if I have height and E I can BnZ, but Can't turn fight like some of the guys I go up against.

Get help from a trainer in the TA. I know a few of them who fly the hog really well. Most of them, but that's not the point :D
Use flaps and stay at around 250-350 mph. Basically.
-
and like any other bird - fly it exclusively for 2 tours :aok
