I hear he has a slight "odor problem" (something to do with years as a sardine fisherman? details are sketchy) that keeps the chicks away, so that can't possibly be it.

I hear the same smell attracts cats, however, so that's why he always claims to be surrounded by . . . nevermind.

Sorry, that new fiesta at the moontower took longer than I thought it would. 

The sardine thing is just a rumor.  Just don't sniff my fingers though.
