to test something and ended up logging into Bishland.
The first thing I saw was WTG about a base capture on countrychannel.
The second thing were the arena numbers: Bish 6, Knight 0, Rook 1.
Some things never change :lol

It is an interesting game. It can be played that way and it should be noted that the auto ack does put up enough of a resistance where there is a modicum of a challenge. If HTC wanted to end one sided game play they could simply disable the auto ack on countries where there are ZERO players online thereby eliminating even auto resist....but I'm thinking there will still be players willing to pay in order to attack and defeat totally undefended structures.
An interesting game.

Could you pie-chart that please? :P

Perhaps HTC should make bases in EW uncapturable.

Man, that ack was tough! all 6 of us fought like hell, gave it all they had, and successfully overcame and conquered the auto ack.

You guys always jump to conclusions ....who's to say it wasn't a rook base they took.....the OP didn't state which countries base was taken...pffft.....it may have been totally defended :D :bolt:
:neener:

Sounds like the EW has SORES... :rofl

Some things never change :lol
Oh yes they do, and alot of times NOT for the right reasons.
However, this EW thing is an OUTRAGE!!!
I can't concentrate on playing the game, knowing that somewhere, somehow, someone is avoiding combat!!
Something must be done!!!
I know, I'll whine on the BBs about it incessantly, that seems to work.

Maybe all bases uncapturable when numbers below XX. Sort of an ENY for bases.
-
I spent the better part of a whole tour hunting those types (no names) in the EW.
They were just having their version of fun and I mine.
They hated me and I loved them!!
Great fun in the EW!!
At one point I was asked to "please leave us alone" !!
Couldn't bring myself to do it, the howling was music to my ears!!
-
hmmmmmmmmm sounds like easy kills in the EW might have to pop in there next tour when numbers are low
-
Just to clarify: They can capture all bases all day & night. I don't mind the milkrunning. I have milked quite a few bases myself and will do again.
What was making me giggle was seeing how they complimented each other for capturing an undefendend base. And on top of that: It's been the very same group of guys I left there 2 years ago when I was turning my back on EW. 2 years gone, and it was still the same guys doing the same thing - as If I was just gone for an hour ;)

This sounds like a great idea but I see the "gamers", when a 15-3 advantage, just switching sides to allow their country to take the bases anyway.

Why so many haters? Doesn't each and every person deserve to play how they want to play? It's their $14.95 (per account). There is such a varied choice of arenas and areas within for anyone to choose where to go and/or what they want to do. Does it make you a bigger man to slam another individual or group because they choose to play where, when and how they want? HO's, Rams, bomb****s, Campers, Hoarders, Milkers and Map runners are everywhere in every arena. When I experience something I don't like, it's "MY CHOICE" to stay and put up with it or move on elsewhere. If I don't appreciate the gameplay of another player or group, I do something else to my enjoyment in the arenas or log. If you don't like the Map Runners, get your squad or a group of individuals and put up a fight. Whining about it day after day is just so lame especially from the more experienced players (Game Veterans) who I have respected but tend to loose a little of it each time I see the whinefest begin.
For some players, this is a great release from the real world. Whether it's to wind down after a long day of work, getting away from the kids, family, general drama that life offers or whatever the reason, people come in to play the game. Some like myself, I am an Honorably Discharged 90% Disabled United States Navy Veteran (1980-1991), play the game a lot at times just because of real life's limitations. We play to enjoy what we can and god forbid, even make some great friends along the way, learn a little history and maybe some new tactics. The "CON's" and various gatherings that are put together are a great opportunity to actually meet some of your countrymen or those you consider enemies and actually understand each other a little better and form some fabulous bonds. For example, Dallas in October and Dayton in July. I went to both last year and had a great time meeting folks. I even changed from Bish after 3 years and have been flying Rook in the LW MA's for the last year after Dayton.
With all that is going on in the "Real World", Oil Spill Crisis in the Gulf of Mexico (My front doorstep), Iran, Iraq, North Korea, Afghanistan, etc.. Be thankful that we all can gather together in games like this to escape from these things for a while. I apperciate what HTC has done in creating this opportunity for us. Live life a little easier and extend a hand in friendship to your fellow man here and/or in real life. If you want to continue to be a hater, that is your choice but, start with the person in the mirror first.

Even though I have and likely will poke fun at them again somethime, being a Bish, the SOARs are mostly good guys just having fun their own way. While I don't understand their preferred method of play, I've seen them fight hard in GV vs GV battles in EW although that was a long time ago.
And for the bashing he takes, Eaglhart is mostly a good guy and a good countryman. I've flown around and with him in the LWAs on several occasions and I'd rather have him nearby than a lot of others I can think of.
OK... back to bashing SOARs.
-
I know how to get rid of em. Someone tell them they can shoot down planes in off line practice and they fly almost straight and level and they don't shoot back. That really sounds like their kind of fun.

I think two of my kids are in that arena this afternoon - one's here in our house, the other in california - so they're using AH as visiting time.
I hope they don't do dweeby stuff like that... but wouldn't put it past them I suppose. :)
