Title: Nanya DDR Memory
Post by: ker on January 02, 2002, 09:47:00 AM
Hello,

I just finished ordering a new system built up for playing aces high.  Just wondering if anyone has any experience with Nanya DDR ram?  I ordered a stick of 256 MB DDR 2100 ram, is this stuff a good brand or should I have gone with Crucial, Micron or one of the other name brands?  Thanks for the help.

If it works without problems for a few days of heavy use, its fine.  Just be sure and burn in your system with some heavy duty programs that really plow through the memory.  As with almost all solid state devices, if it works for a week, it'll work for a decade.

Nanya is generally good ram.  If you are really wondering you can go back a page on this forum for where I ask for a memory testing utility.  Get that memtest86 program and install it on a new blank floppy.
