I fly the hog all the time.
I haven't had a chance to fly thru the smoke yet over a hanger but I get:
Looking out the front take off - 45fps
Looking out the front level flight or climb - 49-59 fps
Looking up - 60+
Looking back - 50-60
Avg in a fight seems to be in the neighborhood of 30-40, dips into the 20s and highs in the 60s
1600x1280 32bit, and it is worth every low fps moment (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif) My gunsight in the hog is viewable finally (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

Hi Folks,
Those numbers are flying view at alt in the hog. The high end is external view in a C47 or out left or right rear views in the hog at alt. I get 36-37 in the benchmark test but I am still unconvinced that its an accurate benchmark and tends to flatten out numbers to the low end. I got 40-42 when I was running 1024 32bit in the test but as high as 85 flying which is my refresh rate. I get 27-32 or so in clouds at 1280 and as low as 16-17 in smoke.

Shotgun, here is my systems
Abit BF6 motherboard
600EMhz Coppermine PIII
128MB SD133 Ram
SB AWE64
Adaptec AHA-2940U SCSI Adapter
NEC FP-950 19" monitor @ 85Hz
ATI Rage Maxx Vid Card w/V-Sync enabled
In the above test you mentioned and at 1600x1200x32 bit I got a rock steady 34 with V-Sync enabled.
As a matter of fact, I got that at 1200x1024 and 1024x768 as well.

The original benchmark we used in beta was something like this:
Field A1,B17, 25% fuel,1000lbers, start on RW heading North, check FR looking forward, left and right, then divide by 3.

Err.. you better get newer video card, because V770 really gets bottlenecked after 600mhz.
