Title: Text buffer colors
Post by: HawkerMKII on July 07, 2010, 08:44:34 AM
I wish there was some way of changing the text buffer colors. The very few times I tune into 200 and I am flying above the clouds I can't even read what it says cuz of the white text....I know I know :old:

oh, ditto.... and  I'm going to plug another wishlist idea here...  a momentary button to turn the text buffer opaque.

I would like to change the colors, too, but for a slightly different reason.  When our numbers are low, our squad will sometimes wing up with a couple of other players from another squad.  We tune to a channel, and that channel comes up yellow in the text box vs. the normal red squad color.  However, the so-and-so-landed-XXXX-damage messages are also yellow, and it is easy to lose the yellow tunable channel messages in the "noise."

Perhaps some text (CM color, for example) shouldn't be available, but it would be helpful if some of other colors could be selected.

Better yet, dont change it and teach yourself to recognize fof or important info at a glance.  Will make a big difference in your SA.  You know that con that was behind you but you could only check for 1/2 a second due to activity in front of you was it red or orange?  Or was it 2k out or 200 out.  I mostly learned to ignore anything on text buffer that begins with s if I am busy fiting.  Just a suggestion here, but the more information you learn to ignore because it is unimportant the better your sa is.
