:furious for some reason with the release 0f 2.19 p7 I cant use my nightfighter mossie skin. I honestly dont know what i'm doing and am open to suggetions. out :pray :salute
If someone who is an experienced skinner will help me with this one you can have a copy of the skin when I get the bugs ironed out. :joystick: :huh :furious

I believe it may be because that the Mosquito was updated. As such, all old skin files are not compatible with the new version of the plane. You will want to reskin the new version of the Mossie if you wish to fly with your nightfighter skin.
-
Can you tell me how to do that please? :salute
p.s. I'll get a screenshot of the plane when it's done. :)

You will need to wait until HTC rotate the new skins into the game. There are a few skins for the Mossie that have been submitted and are awaiting approval and rotation. Give it some time. If you want to skin your own aircraft, I suggest looking into Krusty's site for more information. You can also navigate the AH website to get started as well. Sadly to say, I do not skin. If I did, I would be glad to help you more.

One mosquito skin for you Sah!
p.s. by rotate do you mean that the old skins won't work? oh and why did they change the Skeeter?
-
The Mossie was a very old working model if you compare it to things like the p39
I16 or p47m.Now i believe it has been updated to the latest standards so all new skins will
be needed for it.
The update will help the skinners as and stretching and mirroring should have been fixed.
The old skin had a bit map of 512 where as the new ones are 1024 meaning a lot more detail
can be incoperated.
If you cant skin it yourself you can always put a request on here along with info and pictures
and some one may do it for you.

Thanks! I have had some probs with the wing roundels they have white edges where I cut em. :rofl :x but its not like a pro skin its just solid black with markings. :salute

Age really has nothing to do with it. I was around 16 when I first started messing with photoshop and skinning, but the key thing is practice. Its bad compaired to most, but it looks okay if you're just a beginner. What I tell all that are starting out, and I'm sure the other skinners will tell you, detail makes or breaks a skin. I don't know if its the pictures but I don't see a single panel line or rivet not to mention weathering. What Id tell you is to search for tutorials on skinning. Krusty, fester, greebo and a few others have them on the boards, but also go take a look at some IL2 sturmovik skinner's tutorials. Take what you learn from those and implament them into your skins, and don't be afraid to ask for help from people on the boards on how to do something.

Thank you sir, it probably is the pics, I found one and it was too far away to make out panels, but do mossies have rivets other than the engine nacelles? I tend to get   when I screw up, so I dropped the project temporarily. I know it looks like holy crapola, Its not pretty but... oh and I use gimp for this, should I get photoshop?
