of stupid questions lately. this one is made slightly less stupid, as at least i'm putting it in the right place this time.
i'm running one of tildeath's computers. when i stopped playing, with the hi res pack, and everything turned up high, i could maintain smooth view, and was showing 75fps.
i just last night installed the hi res pack to the new version, had everything up hi, and in off line mode, just shooting at the drones flying in circles, i'd get these little "mini stutters". wheni saw them, i'd look at the framerate, and it was in the low 60's sometimes down to the mid 50's. this is offline mind you.
nothing has changed on my computer in the couple of months that i've not been flying.
what do i need to change/fix/update to put it back to how it was before i come back online?
thanks!!!

what kinda of video card are you runing?

When you say "nothing has changed" I would have to ask are you sure?
Windows Update might have installed a MB driver for onboard sound?
You might have installed another program that you probably think doesnt make any difference... but it comes along with a license monitor... or an update routine of its own?
Microsoft installs little useless things that we dont know about and that change rudundant settings on your machine and they dont tell you.
It could be a lot of things.

never trust microsoft that's why i pick my updates when they are released : )
