I have returned from Afghanistan. I flew into Joint Base Lewis-McChord a couple of hours ago. Thanks for the suppport and well wishes  I received over the past year. It was a long, harsh deployment.30+ of my fellow brigade soldiers are gone but never forgotten. For me, it ended on a happy note, the gods of promotion finally bestowed the rank of Staff Sergeant on me. <S> TC see you in the skies..

Welcome back to civilisation, TC, and congratulations on dodging the slings 'n' arrows, AK-47s, IEDs 'n' all the other nasty muck long enough to make Staff Sergeant. This ol' cat is presently resting from online ops but the Duxford Wing is still swatting the Messy Schmitts, call 'em up when you get airborne.

And thanks for going in harm's way so we don't have to.
