I gave my old machine to my daughter... sure enough, she broke it. The on/off and reset switches are so badly damaged that they not longer sit in the front of the unit. I realize to fix this, I will likely have to buy another case unless I use epoxy to hold them in place.
The big problem is the computer turns on for a brief second and then turns off again. No audible tones, just the fans light up for a second and then turn off. I'm guessing it is a short of some kind...
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Did you swap the on/off with the reset when plugging into your motherboard?

Just ride around the neighborhood the night before garbage collection.
There is sure to be a couple old machines being put out

USVI, I've had a bad on/off switch before! drove me crazy! trace the on/off wires down to mother board, only 2,
unplug the 2wires and put your glasses on, and with a small screwdriver, jump the two pin's see what happen's!
just hold it there fore a few seconds!
Misfire out,
