when, as a rook, I dive into a bish/knit fight? :headscratch:
-
Nope.
-
not if you get em both :aok
-
You will just be accused of picking and a whine will be recorded on 200...probably here too.
-
when, as a rook, I dive into a bish/knit fight? :headscratch:
Nope. When diving into a fight like that, it's best to go for the trailing bandit first instead of the one he's after. This way you increase the likelihood of getting credit for both kills instead of a kill and possible assist.
ack-ack

Nope...it's fun tho !!!!

In this case the old adage applies: An enemy of your enemy is just another target. ;)
-
when, as a rook, I dive into a bish/knit fight? :headscratch:
No, as long as you declared "MINE?!" on range channel.
-
when, as a rook, I dive into a bish/knit fight? :headscratch:
YES! It is a well known rule that I ALWAYS have first dibs on all kills in these things. Due to my hit % All other cartoon pilots MUST stand by until I expend ALL of my ammo for my 1 or 2 kills then the free for my begin.
I'm serious! it's in the TOS nobody reads! :noid

one cannot steal something no one owns.
-
when, as a rook, I dive into a bish/knit fight? :headscratch:
Nope, go for it. :aok
I do it all the time. :D
-
It is impossible to steal a kill, even from your own countrymen. I'll pay next month's dues for anybody that can prove that a kill was stolen from them. Just do a screen print that says something along the lines "you killed so and so but the guy that was next to you stole it". :D

You couldn't hit a bull in the arse with a shovel! :bolt:
-
kill stealing means to shoot at a con who is allready close to death
example 1: ones hanging at someones six, shoot him the tail off, and anotherone spend enough 20 mm to get the kill for 100%
example 2: you shoot a bombers engine into fire, everyone knows it will be a questions of some seconds, but another pilots dives in and spend as much ammo on the buff as he can
both are classical kill steals!

You can steal a kill from your own countrymen, let one of your friends be on enmy's 6 ready to shoot, when he starts to shoot make sure your fast enough and fly in front of him so he kill shoots himself. Then shoot down the enmy.

Kill stealing is watching a countryman fight a bogey from 8 - 10k down to the deck, then slipping in at the last minute shredding the bogey and getting the kill.
It is a low down, dirty despicable habit practiced mostly by horde pilots who can't get one of their own.
-
Yes is was my kill :old

when, as a rook, I dive into a bish/knit fight? :headscratch:
No, diving, whether into a fight or elsewhere, is merely a maneuver.
BTW, next time you go to an "all you can eat" restaurant, I recommend you eat, then go back for seconds, pile your plate high, and spit on the food and leave.
If the manager stops you with some smack about, "hey buddy, it says all you can eat, not all you can waste", respond with, "it says all I can eat, not all I did eat."
He'll back off in deference to your obvious rhetorical skills.

Were you in a F4U-4?

That reminds me of one of my more memorable fights, months and months ago I was up around 8-10k in a 38J and I mixed it up with LippyCH who was flying a KI-84. We went round and round for a good long while until we were bounced by a higher 109, w/out any communication between us our fight stopped and we shot down the 109, put a few thousand yards between us and dove back in and resumed our fight.
What I like about this particular memory is that's the part I still remember, I don't even recall who finally won. :)

As it concerns kill stealing, I shall quote a legendary master regarding the despicable practice:
WOOOOOOOO WOOOOOOOOO (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B_ZupkuVuYo)
That is all.

No. It is not stealing a kill because they are both your enemy. Perhaps, if it were a friendly who had a clear shot that you interfered with, then it could be called a steal. But in my book a steal is still a win for the team. So its all good.

Just do like Lew does..... claim your high heel got stuck on the pedal and in trying to get it loose you accidently hit the guns.

I can TOO !!!! <uses best whiny voice> otoh, why would I want too? wouldn't just piss the bull off, and lets face it a shovel really isn't going to slow him down all that much. My aim sucks, not my brain ! :x
