Nope, season 5. Which episode are you on?

Season 5 was the best season of Doctor Who I've seen since Peter Davison's Doctor. Thank the Moff!

You talking about part 1 of the 2-part season finale where Rory comes back as a Roman soldier?  Kind of expected it sooner or later.  Didn't expect to Pandorica to be what it was...   :noid

part one. i never saw this coming. in retrospect, watching that episode a second time, they're talking about the most dangerous thing in the universe being locked up in there.......then thinking back to the first episode with smith playing the doctor, and his little speech/rant at the end, that would in fact make him the most dangerous thing.

i seriously kind of expected to see a new enemy come out of the pandorica though. i didn't expect to see amy get killed either.

I bought a long scarf because of Tom Baker.  I bought a crushable Panama Hat because of Peter Davison.  I wear chucks because of David Tennant.  I'm happy that I now get to wear brainy specs legitimately instead of just to look clever.

That said, this season started off kind of weird but definitely began clicking on all cylinders roughly around the Weeping Angels.  That said, the 1st part of the finale was one of the best.  My favorite moments were when the Doctor had that long scene with Rory without ever commenting about his return, and the music interlude where everything is going into the crapper. Amy dead, Doctor imprisoned, River trapped, TARDIS exploded, and Rory plastic.  Oh yeh, the stars were going out, too.  Sucks.

So...bow tie or tweed?  Cause I'm not doing both.

amy is incredibly hot. as silly as it sounds, i also like the fact that her nails are always done very nicely.  like i said, i know that sounds weird, but i tend to notice things like that.....

rose was hot, but my favorite, before amy, is martha.

Agreed, Karen for Queen, nom nom nom!  But Rose was hot too, can't dis the lady.

Personaly I'm just really happy and still surprised at how fast this season of Dr. Who came out after the end of that last one... but that could be just because we're stuck watching it here in the states at the mercy of the evil English.

i'm honestly surprised she hasn't come back yet...the blonde that's his rl girlfriend that is. in the episode we saw her, she was his daughter, and i i think accordingly part time lord.........but then again, she could end up in this weekends finale.

Never really understood the Billie Peiper fascination . . . Not calling her ugly, but definitely not anything special in my opinion.  A bit of a chimp face if you ask me.

Hated the "new" weeping angels episode.  Too many changed premises from the original.

The changes in the mythology there were pretty blatant but made it more sci-fiey I though, so I didn't mind much.  And the original episode was so cool I don't think it ruins it.

Amy, Martha, Rose if we're still voting.

And none of us discussed the Spitfires in Space.  Where they VIII's, IX's, or Spitsteens?  What was the fuel and ammo loadout? Did anyone get a good look at the markings for, y'know, skins?  How's the turning radius at that altitude?  What convergence did they set for?  Did the extra equipment affect performance and if so, how?  And what about pilot evaluations?

Wait...those guys were in Spits?

Freakin' Noobs!

i thought the series finale was great, a bit drawn out over 2 episodes but the 2nd one was fantastic, kept me guessing and interested all the way to the end :aok. I like the way this doctor is going, didnt really like russel davis's approach - just too camp and sentimental. If they could just back off the "comedy" a bit it would be even better.

For those with Doctor Withdrawal, try Sherlock. Written by the Moff himself and along the same lines as his excellent Jekyll a modern revamp of the old story with cutting, fast past dialogue and an excellent cast.

Caught the first episode last night on Cheech Vision, episode 2 should be broadcasting in England tonight.

Had some doubts about Matt when the season started, but he settled in to do well.  I was concerned about Moff taking over the writting for the series, but he has proven to be pretty damn good.  The season finale was excellent.

I disagree.  I think Christopher Eccleston hit the street running as the Doctor.  David Tennant came along pretty quick as well.  Matt seem to start out more of a geek than the others, but that could be Moff's impact as well.

i honestly thought matt smith was gonna flop. he had a big pair of shoes to fill.

i was surprised eckelston didn't keep the role longer than he did, but i still think tennent is the best doctor(in my opinion) since tom baker.

There were no worries from this end when The Moff got the job. Having grown up watching his shows (Press Gang through the teen years, Coupling through my early twenties, Jekyll through the lates, the DW episodes he wrote for both Chris E and Dave T in seasons 1-4) he was always going to do an excellent job.
It's just amazing to me that such a talented writer hasn't either been given a big job like this earlier or snapped up by some US studio or other.

I like Matt Smith a little more than I did at first, but I think David Tennant gave the best performance week after week.
