Title: Voodoo 5 5500, 3Dfx tools, error message, help plz

I get the following error message when trying to install 3Dfx tools(this happened after I removed the card and re-installed it, but 3Dfx tools did not reinstall).

I get "Internal Error 2254., Feature", then it says it can't install 3Dfx tools.
EDIT: I went through the registry removing all keys referring to 3Dfx tools. Still no go.
Any ideas?

Sounds like you may not have got the old 3dfx tools completely deleted.

Going through the registry may not help if it has left a hidden folder in program files or somewhere similar that is gumming up the works.

You might try a wildcard search for "3dfx.*"
to see if anything turns up.

THANK YOU GHOST!!!! It was an encoded file residing inside of the /windows/installer folder. I didn't find it until I went through every windows directory by hand and checked 'em each.

3Dfx tools installed and I can use FSAA again!
